Straight bourbon is a type of American whiskey aged for at least two years in new, charred oak barrels, containing no added coloring or flavoring

. It must be made from at least 51% corn, distilled to no more than 160 proof, and bottled at 80 proof or higher. Common flavor notes include vanilla, caramel, oak, and baking spice.
